Mechanization Roadshow 2024

Gitnang Luzon Sentro ng Mekanisasyon!

Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija – The 2024 Mechanization Roadshow, held on November 29 and 30, was a groundbreaking event that brought together leaders, experts, and farmers to explore the future of agriculture in the Philippines. Organized by the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech), and the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (KAMICO), with the support of the local government of Cabanatuan, the roadshow was designed to highlight the importance of mechanization in enhancing agricultural productivity.

With the theme “Gitnang Luzon: Sentro ng Mekanisasyon,” the roadshow showcased innovative farming practices and cutting-edge agricultural machinery aimed at boosting efficiency and sustainability in rice farming, emphasizing the key role of technology in modernizing Philippine agriculture.

The 2024 Mechanization Roadshow began with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, marking the official launch of the event. The opening speeches emphasized the critical role of mechanization in boosting productivity and sustainability in Philippine agriculture.

The ceremony highlighted the importance of providing farmers with access to advanced tools and technologies to modernize farming practices. This set the tone for two days of informative seminars, technology demonstrations, and discussions focused on empowering farmers and showcasing innovative agricultural solutions.

The roadshow also offered several informative seminars and live technology demonstrations. These sessions, led by experts from PHilMech and KAMICO, educated farmers about the benefits of adopting modern agricultural practices and the latest mechanization technologies. By fostering a deeper understanding of the innovations available, the event empowered farmers with the knowledge to make informed decisions about improving their operations.

The 2024 Mechanization Roadshow featured live field demonstrations showcasing cutting-edge agricultural machinery designed to enhance productivity and sustainability in farming. Attendees witnessed powerful 50-horsepower tractors in action, equipped with essential implements like levee makers and rotavators. These demonstrations highlighted how mechanized equipment can significantly improve land preparation, water management, and crop planting. By showcasing these tools, the roadshow underscored the importance of adopting modern technologies to streamline farm operations and increase crop yields, ultimately contributing to the future of Philippine agriculture.
